UB faculty and staff are using Recording with Panopto to easily create professional quality recordings that combine video, voice and visuals from your screen, and then share them with students, coworkers and the world. If you’re new to Recording with Panopto and want to get started, here are a few easy ways to do it.
Look at our introduction and features section to find out how Panopto can help you present classroom materials to an online audience, record meetings and more. The step-by-step instructions cover everything from signing in for the first time to downloading and installing Panopto on any device, basic recording, editing, sharing and more.
You can even download a free eBook about planning interactive learning sessions, and a PowerPoint presentation with 12 tips for presenting on-camera.
If you’re a more visual learner, UBIT staff members have created in-house tutorial videos for Recording with Panopto. These short videos cover topics like downloading and installing Panopto and sharing Panopto recordings in UBlearns.
Because these videos were made using the Panopto software, you can also get a sense of what the finished product looks like, and how easy it is to create a recording of your own.
Panopto holds live webinars every 2nd and 3rd Wednesday, where you can watch, learn, ask questions and get familiar with Panopto’s features. These basic training webinars are great for those who are newer to Panopto to learn how to create, edit, and manage their videos.
To see the schedule and register for other upcoming training sessions, visit the Panopto website.
You can also visit a trainer during their office hours for more one-on-one help. The trainer office hours are every Friday at 1pm Eastern. During office hours, they are here to answer any general questions related to anything Panopto.
Of course, help with this and anything else IT-related at UB is available at the UBIT Help Center online, or by calling 716-645-3542.
