Spirion Unmanaged: Windows Download for Personally Owned Computers

Find, remove or secure Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from a computer.

Spirion Unmanaged scans files and email on your computer and locates Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

PII is information that can be used to uniquely identify, contact or locate a single person or can be used with other sources to uniquely identify a single individual, such as Social Security Numbers, credit card numbers or bank account numbers associated with a person's name or identity.

  1. Double-click on win_Spirion12.6.1_noConsole.msi to begin the installation.
  2. An Open File - Security Warning will appear. Click Run.
  3. The Identity Finder Setup Wizard will launch. Click Next.
  4. Select I accept the terms in the License Agreement and click Next.
  5. Select Anyone who uses the computer and click Typical.
  6. Click Install. Installation may take a few minutes.
  7. The Setup Wizard will finish running. Click Finish.

Searching PII On Your Computer's Hard Drive

Spirion Unmanaged scans your computer's hard drive, and can quarantine, ignore or even shred to Department of Defense standards any PII on your computer. You can customize a scan to run at a certain frequency to ensure your computer is free of PII.

Searching PII Within UB Email

  • UBmail (Exchange Online): Spirion Unmanaged helps identify email messages that contain PII directly, and you can click the Shred option to shred them.
  • UBmail (Gmail): Spirion Unmanaged cannot shred messages that contain PII directly, but identifies those messages for you to delete manually.
