Downloading Maple for Macintosh

Perform symbolic and numeric computation.

Maple is a mathematical application that supports symbolic and numeric computation and graphics.

Availability

  • Use Maple remotely through My Virtual Computing Lab.
  • Use Maple in Computing Sites.
  • Download Maple from UB.

Eligibility

Maple is available to:

  • Students who have paid the Comprehensive fee
  • Faculty
  • Faculty Student Association employees
  • Geographic Full time Faculty
  • State employees (UUP, CSEA, MC, PEF)
  • Sub-Board I (SBO) employees
  • Research Foundation employees
  • UB Foundation employees

Note:

Maple 15 and Maple 16 will be removed in late August 2013.

Installation Instructions

  • Stay connected to the Internet so you can activate your license immediately after installing Maple.
  • When the Maple installer opens, double-click the file ClickMeFirst in order to view the Purchase Code. 
  • Double-click the installer. Follow the usual installation steps, except as noted below:
    • Choose Single User License when prompted.    
    • Enter the Purchase Code contained in the ClickMeFirst file that you opened earlier, and select No.
    • Enter all requested information in the required registration fields (identified in red and with an asterisk.)
