Maple: Linux Download for Personally Owned Computers

Maple helps you analyze, explore, visualize and solve mathematical problems.

Note: This software can be downloaded multiple times and does not limit the number of downloads.


Maple is available to:

  • Students who have paid the Comprehensive fee
  • Faculty
  • Faculty Student Association employees
  • Geographic Full time Faculty
  • State employees (UUP, CSEA, MC, PEF)
  • Sub-Board I (SBO) employees
  • Research Foundation employees
  • UB Foundation employee

Maple 2015 is the newest version of Maple.

Important Installation Notes

  1. Stay connected to the Internet so you can activate your license immediately after installing Maple.
  2. After you unzip the Maple files, view the file ActivationCode.txt (Maple 2015) or Activation.txt (Maple 18) in order to read the Purchase Code. 
  3. Choosing either the 32-bit or 64-bit version of the software, follow the usual installation steps, except as noted below:
    • Choose Single User License when prompted.    
    • Enter the Purchase Code contained in the ActivationCode.txt or Activation.txt file that you opened earlier.
    • Enter all requested information in the required registration fields (identified in red and with an asterisk.)
