Configuring eduroam Wi-Fi for Mac

Set up your Macintosh device to automatically connect to eduroam, UB’s secure, preferred Wi-Fi network.

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.10 or newer

Applies To: UB students, faculty, staff, researchers

Note: Administrative privileges are needed on your device.

Click Configure and Connect from the splash screen.

1. Select UB Connect from your available Wi-Fi networks

2. Open your Web browser, if it doesn't open automatically, and go to buffalo.edu

3. Click Configure and Connect

Click Configure and Connect.

4. Verify the operating system shown matches the operating system on your device, and if so, click Configure and Connect

5. The application will download

WiFi_University_at_Buffalo.dmg.

6. Open Finder and go to Downloads

7. Open file WiFi_University_at_Buffalo.dmg

Next button.

8. Click Next

Allow changes button.

9.Enter your computer's username and password, if prompted

10. Enter your UBITName and UBITName Password in their respective fields and click Log in

Always allow connection button.

10. Enter your computer's keychain password, and click Always Allow, if prompted

Click Done button once joined.

10. Once complete, click Done
