Beginning February 3, 2024, you will no longer be able to use an old version of Zoom when joining and hosting meetings at UB. Update your personal devices today to avoid disruptions.

To ensure your Zoom app has the best security and all the latest features, Zoom is requiring customers to install the most recent version of the app every three months. You must update the app by February 3rd in order to continue using it.

Although you may have already updated the application, double check that all of your devices are up to date with the latest update. To check which version you have, follow Zoom’s instructions.

Why update?

There are other good reasons to update: using the latest version of software is a best practice that ensures you benefit from the latest security features and enhancements.

Keeping Zoom updated also means you’ll enjoy enhanced features like Zoom AI Companion.

If you can't update the app, see UBIT's instructions on how to join a restricted Zoom meeting with and out-of-date app or from a web browser are available.
