Supreme Court's voting rights ruling casts shadow on future legal battles

CBS News interviewed James Gardner about the Supreme Court’s decision earlier this month upholding Arizona voting rules that ban third party collection of mail-in ballots and discard ballots cast in the wrong precinct. Gardner said, “The main significance of [the Arizona case] lies in disparate impact claims. But disparate treatment, an intentional discrimination case, is not strictly within the reach of last week’s decision.”
