‘Space junk’ crashes into and damages part of International Space Station

The Today Show featured John Crassidis in a discussion on how a piece of space debris damaged a robotic arm of the International Space Station. Crassidis said the incident shows how dangerous space debris can be. “As we launch more and more satellites, there’s going to be more chances of collision. And with those collisions it’s going to cause even more pieces of debris.
