An Architectural Digest podcast interviewed Despina Stratigakos, about the politics of architecture in Nazi Germany and her book, “Hitler’s Northern Utopia,” which chronicles German occupiers’ efforts to transform the built environment of occupied Norway. “Despite the propaganda that Hitler and his team is putting out — that Norwegians will be equals in this empire and that you are our brothers — you realize [the Germans are] building all of these spaces…to protect themselves,” says Stratigakos
