An article on Medium about a feminist Muslim woman and the difficulties she had looking for a suitable job that didn’t have a problem with her hijab reports a study by Emily Grijalva showed that a gender gap in leadership still persists. “We found showing sensitivity and concern for others – stereotypical feminine traits – made someone less likely to be seen as a leader,” Grijalva said. “However, it’s those same characteristics that make leaders effective.”
