An article on ABC News about an international symposium held last week in New York City to discuss police suicide quotes John Violanti, research professor of epidemiology and environmental health in the UB School of Public Health and Health Professions, who said "If you are a law enforcement officer, you have a 54% greater chance of dying from suicide."
