What's more important? A college student's phone or food?

News outlets around the world, including Vice, India Today, Yahoo! and WBFO-FM reported on a UB study which found that college students are more likely to choose spending time their smartphone than eating. The articles quote lead author and psychology doctoral student Sara O’Donnell who said research into smartphone addiction is still in its nascent stages, but this study suggests that our smartphones are “highly reinforcing.”
