Jacob Neiheisel, assistant professor of political science, was interviewed on CNBC about President Trump’s speech Monday night that suggested the U.S. will be involved in Afghanistan for some time to come. “He left things open-ended. We just came off a presidency that promised at times to draw us back from a number of places in the policy arena,” he said. “The open-ended nature of Trump’s level of commitment here seemed to suggest we’ll be in Afghanistan for quite some time.” The interview also appeared on MSN and Yahoo Finance.
