An article on Mic interviews Robert Adelman, associate professor of sociology, about his research that showed that immigrants not only fail to increase crime but, in some cases, actually reduce crime rates. "I would say that the big takeaway is this idea that this research shows strong and stable evidence across 200 metropolitan areas, using 40 years of data, that as immigration increases on average these crimes — murder, larceny and robbery — decrease," he said. An article also appeared on Tech Times. Adelman’s research continues to receive worldwide interest, with articles appearing, in English and other languages, in news outlets that include France’s CCME, Czechoslovakia’s Lidovky and MSN Nieuws in The Netherlands.
