John Kasich really wants to win New Hampshire

An article in the New York Times Magazine about the New Hampshire primary and its importance to the Republican candidates quotes James Campbell, professor of political science, about the past presidential nominees who have gained momentum from a strong showing in New Hampshire. “There hasn’t been a lot of history to suggest that throwing everything into New Hampshire is a successful strategy,” he said. “On the other hand, if you’re John Kasich or Chris Christie and you don’t have many resources to begin with, it’s not an unreasonable thing to do.”
