University at Buffalo takes second place in national Solar Decathlon

An article in the Buffalo News reports UB took second place Saturday in the U.S. Department of Energy’s 2015 Solar Decathlon in Irvine, California, and quotes Martha Bohm, assistant professor of architecture and lead advisor for the project, and Christopher Osterhoudt, student manager for the GRoW Home. “We couldn’t be more excited,” Bohm said. “It was a tough, tough field and this was our first time out.” Other local coverage included stories on WBFO-FM, WIVB-TV, Time Warner Cable News and Buffalo Rising. The competition received broad national coverage, with articles also appearing on news outlets that include National Geographic, Reuters, Archinect and Yahoo News.
