A story on WKBW-TV reports UB is welcoming the new academic year with a national recognition of its Finish in 4 program, and interviews Andrew Stott, dean of undergraduate education. “It’s our pledge to students that if they sign up and take their academics seriously, that they’ll finish in four years or we’ll pay the tuition for any additional courses they need to take,” he said. In addition, the back-to-school story, which aired live beginning at 5:30 this morning, interviewed Kelly Hayes McAlonie, director of UB’s Capital Planning Group, about new Adirondack chairs that have been placed on UB’s North and South campuses, and also reports on a new boat launch on Lake LaSalle, which offers canoes, kayaks and paddleboats to the university community and the public.
