Tom Russo, professor of medicine, is quoted in an article on Yahoo Health about an Oklahoma mother of two who lost all four of her limbs after contracting Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever from a tick bite. Not everyone gets a rash or gets it right away, which complicated experts’ ability to identify the disease in some cases, he said.
