$16 million NIH grant raises Buffalo's profile in translational research

An article in the Buffalo News reports on Thursday’s press conference to announce UB has been awarded a prestigious, four-year, $16 million Clinical and Translational Science Award from the National Institutes of Health to speed the delivery of new drugs, diagnostics and medical devices to patients. The article quotes UB President Satish K. Tripathi, Michael Cain, vice president for health sciences and dean of the UB School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and Timothy Murphy, director of UB’s Clinical and Translational Research Center.
