Senate bill would help thwart hackers, experts say

An article in USA Today interviews Arun Vishwanath, associate professor of communication and an expert on cyber deception, about legislation in the Senate that would encourage private companies to share information with the government about data breaches as soon as they are detected. “There is not one silver bullet,” he said. “The reality of our lives is that these threats are anywhere and everywhere. We don’t have one technology that can stop it all. Information-sharing is important, but it’s not going to solve all our problems.”
