Politico’s Morning Education, a daily overview of education policy news, features UB’s Communities of Excellence, a $25 million project that connects UB faculty members from vastly different disciplines to create new majors and tackle pressing global issues. The article interviews Provost Charles Zukoski, who said, “Honestly, I can’t imagine that the sorts of programs that are going to be conceived of can’t be exciting for students. These are the big problems – or some of the big problems – of our times, and students are attracted to working on the big problems.”
