A story on Today.com about whether it is more effective to floss before or after you brush your teeth quotes Sebastian Ciancio, SUNY Distinguished Service Professor and chair of Periodontics and Endodontics in the UB School of Dental Medicine. “Whether you floss before brushing or after makes no difference on the efficacy,” he said. “Flossing before you brush might give a sense of false [protection] and you might not brush as well.”
