A look at rights when it comes to border patrol checkpoints

Rick Su, an expert in immigration law, is quoted in an article on Huffington Post for a story about roadside checkpoints and what people’s rights are when they’re stopped at a border patrol checkpoint on a road in northern New York State. He said that stops like this are a sign “that the federal government is, in some ways troublingly, using immigration checkpoints to enforce other areas of law enforcement, including the war on drugs.”
