An article in the Los Angeles Times about a study that found an amphetamine-like substance that has never been tested in humans in a range of diet pills and sports supplements quotes Mark O’Brian, interim chair of the Department of Biochemistry in the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. “It’s something that no one should be taking at all, and certainly not unknowingly,” he said.
