CNN quotes UB history expert on the difference between a festival and a protest in New Hampshire

In a CNN story about the difference between a Pumpkin Fest in Keene, New Hampshire where beer bottles flew and bonfires burned and the “riotous behavior” near Keene State College to protest the occurrences in Ferguson, Missouri, UB’s Victoria Wolcott, Lockwood Endowed Chair and history professor, was quoted. Wolcott said, “It speaks to the notion that white violent behavior is not something talked about or stigmatized in the media or in mainstream society to the extent that African-American rioting or looting behavior is.”
