An article on Huffington Post about a soccer videogame that has been proven in a research study to be an effective transformative tool to address the rampant problem of violence against women reports it was developed by students from Champlain College who worked closely with Hua (Helen) Wang, UB assistant professor of communication. The article notes her research team helped create innovative assessment tools using participatory sketching, photovoice and event-based time diary to capture the impact of the game during camps where it was being assessed.
