WIVB reports on UB students competing in the Mars Rover NASA-sponsored competition in Houston

A story on WIVB-TV reports UB students will drive a model Mars rover today using an Xbox controller as part of a NASA-sponsored competition at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. The story notes participating teams can send representatives to Texas, but the rover must be controlled remotely at the team’s university, and must complete a variety of tasks on a simulated Mars terrain.
