WBFO interviews Bruce Jackson about the life and impact of Maya Angelou

Bruce Jackson, James Agee Professor of American Culture, was interviewed on WBFO-FM for a story about the impact Maya Angelou had on the nation as a poet, activist and performer. One of the reasons her story is so inspiring is that even though everything in her early life worked against her, she was able to overcome the many challenges she faced, he said.
