The Buffalo News reports that the John R. Oishei Foundation will donate $5 million for new UB medical school

The Buffalo News, Business First, WGRZ, WIVB, and WKBW report that the John R. Oishei Foundation will donate $5 million to help pay for a new UB medical school downtown. The article reports that UB is about halfway toward its private fund-raising goal for the medical school construction. Michael Cain, vice president for health sciences and dean of the medical school says, “The academic health center will offer unprecedented clinical, research and educational opportunities for our faculty and students. It will also help improve the health of people who live in Western New York and beyond.
