An article in the Chronicle of Higher Education reports on the 18th conference of the International Society for Chinese Philosophy, held in July by UB, and interviews Jiyuan Yu, a UB professor of ancient Greek and Chinese philosophy and the society’s president, who ranks among the leading scholars exploring virtue ethics in Aristotle and Confucius. The article notes that papers presented at the conference included “American Culture and Mencius’s Way of Living” by Anthony Fay, a UB philosophy student.
