NPR interviews UB historian about Obama’s trip to Berlin

Andreas Daum, professor of history, was interviewed by NPR for a story about President Obama’s first visit to Berlin since his election in 2008, a visit that falls in the same month that John F. Kennedy delivered his famous “Ich bin ein Berliner” speech a half century ago. “He might not even try to imitate John F. Kennedy, but it would be surprising if he were to miss the opportunity to at least refer to his Democratic predecessor,” he said.
