The Guardian interviews UB transnational studies expert about golfer’s Tiger Woods remark

Carl Nightingale, associate professor of transnational studies and an expert on race in America, is quoted in an article in England’s The Guardian about the controversy created by Spanish golfer Sergio Garcia, who, when asked if he would have Tiger Woods over for a meal during the U.S. Open, said he would serve him fried chicken. The individual who is speaking matters just as much as what is being said, Nightingale said.
