A major feature article in The New York Times reports on the work of Dennis Maher, UB clinical assistant professor of architecture, who has been making sculptures out of pieces of demolished houses.

His sculptures use materials like ductwork, plywood, lath and
PVC pipes “in huge, dangerous-looking pieces that resemble
photographs of explosions caught by a high-speed camera,” the
article notes. University Communications staff worked closely with
The New York Times to entice them to come to Buffalo to write about
Maher’s work.
