Science News includes polar bear research by Charlotte
Lindqvist, assistant professor of biological sciences, in a list of
the top 25 science stories of 2012. With an international team of
scientists, Lindqvist, PhD, sequenced multiple polar bear and brown
bear genomes to trace the evolutionary history of polar bears, and
found that the bears were much more ancient than previously
thought.
