Time Magazine reports on UB research that adversity helps children grow into happier adults

An article in TIME Magazine about the best ways to help children succeed reports research by a team of psychologists led by Mark Seery, UB associate professor of psychology, found that adults who had experienced little or no adversity growing up were actually less happy and confident than those who had experienced a few setbacks in childhood.
