UB alumnus named to Forbes' 2012 All-Star Student Entrepreneurs list

An article in Forbes reports Ansar Khan, a 2011 UB graduate, has been named to the magazine's 2012 All-Star Student Entrepreneurs, which honors nine undergraduates and recent graduates who started significant businesses. Khan was recognized for starting Refulgent Software, a local tech firm he started with UB classmate James O'Leary that produces an iPod and iPad app that serves as a restaurant point-of-sale system. Their app is now installed in 265 restaurants in 14 countries, and the company expects 2012 revenues of $850,000. The article will appear in the magazine's print version on Aug. 20.
