A story on CNN about a new tinnitus treatment that involves having patients focus on the sounds they hear rather than ignoring them quotes Richard Salvi, director of UB's Center for Hearing and Deafness. "Many tinnitus patients expect immediate and complete cessation of their tinnitus," he said. "None of the current treatments meet these patient expectations. Consequently, much more work needs to be done." The story also appeared on KPRC-TV in Houston.
