UB research stories among the best of 2011

Futurity's list of Top 10 Stories of 2011 included two UB research stories. Futurity publishes daily news from the world's top research universities. UB and Duke University were the only schools that placed two stories in the top 10.

The first UB story described the work of UB physicist Dejan Stojkovic who theorizies that the universe may be expanding into a fourth dimension; the second story described a study by UB psychology professor Lora Park who found that women who pursue careers in the sciences often sacrifice romantic pursuits.

Futurity's Top 10 were "the most viewed, most shared, and most discussed stories of 2011." See the stories at:
