Buffalo News: UB receives record $40 million gift from anonymous donor

A story on the front page of the Buffalo News reports an anonymous donor who graduated from the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences during World War II has bequeathed to the medical school $40 million, the largest donation to UB by an individual. An Associated Press article also reported on the gift, and appeared in news outlets that include the Albany Times Union, Newsday and Seattle Post Intelligencer. Stories also appeared in Business First, WBFO-FM, Chronicle of Philanthropy, Syracuse Post-Standard, UPI and WGRZ-TV. The announcement was made as part of UB's Inauguration Week.
