New York Times: Miller discusses link between energy drinks, "toxic jock identity"

Kathleen E. Miller, Ph.D., research scientist at UB's Research Institute on Addictions, was featured in a segment of the Today show on the dangers of energy drinks. Miller's research on the subject also was featured in The New York Times. Miller recently published a study in the Journal of American College Health on the link between consumption of high-energy drinks and "toxic jock identity" characterized by hypermasculinity and risk-taking behaviors. Articles on her work also appeared in the Chicago Tribune and Dallas Morning News.
