An article in the Toronto Star on computers turning cursive handwriting into an archaic and unnecessary form or writing quotes Sargur Srihari, SUNY Distinguished Professor of Computer Science and Engineering, who said, "Penmanship skills are not being taught properly. We did some studies determining age and we did find that handwriting difference between the older and younger people was quite discernable. Age can be told by the nature of the handwriting."
