An article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette about new services banks are offering to encourage teen and preteens to invest their savings with them quotes Lewis Mandell, professor of finance and managerial economics, who said, "It is very useful for kids to have some vehicle that gives them feedback and a sense of accomplishment. It's far more valuable to see at the end of the year how much interest you've made." The article originally appeared in the July 29 issue of The Wall Street Journal. Go to article.
