An article in the current issue of the Chronicle of Higher Education looks at some of the interesting ways professor spend their time when they're not in the classroom, and profiles at Natalie C. Simpson, associate professor of management science and systems and a lieutenant in a volunteer fire department in East Aurora, who has responded to everything from car fires to rescuing dogs from creeks in the seven years she has been a member of the unit.
