BUFFALO, N.Y. – University at Buffalo President Satish K. Tripathi will make a major announcement regarding university fundraising when he delivers his 12th annual State of the University address Friday morning.

Tripathi will share news about a major gift to the university, as well as an update on UB’s Boldly Buffalo fundraising campaign.

He will also highlight UB’s historic faculty hiring initiative and the many ways the university has expanded the impact and scope of its research and education, as well as its engagement in the Buffalo region.

What: UB President Satish K. Tripathi’s 12th annual State of the University address

When: 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13

Where: Lippes Concert Hall at Slee Hall on the UB North Campus (see map)

Members of the media are invited to cover Tripathi’s address, which will be attended by members of the university community. Tripathi will be available for media interviews immediately following his address.
