UB statement on the arrest of James Spratz

The University at Buffalo is aware of the arrest of James Spratz and has cooperated fully with the Office of the Inspector General’s investigation of this matter. In accordance with the disciplinary procedure between the university and Spratz’s union, he has been removed from the workplace pending disciplinary proceedings.

UB’s ethics policy clearly states that all employees have a responsibility for stewardship of university resources and must not use university resources for personal benefit. Employees who do not comply with all applicable laws, regulations and policies in this regard are subject to discipline, up to and including termination.
