BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University at Buffalo School of Management is again ranked as one of the country’s best undergraduate business programs in the 2015 edition of “America’s Best Colleges” by U.S. News and World Report.

The UB School of Management is tied for No. 79, up seven places from last year and ranked higher than any other business school in the State University of New York system.

Among public business schools, the School of Management is ranked No. 50.

“Our efforts to enhance the quality of our academic programs and global reputation by focusing our resources on the recruitment of high-caliber students and top faculty are really paying off,” said Arjang A. Assad, dean of the UB School of Management. “It’s gratifying to see them reflected in this ranking.”

UB is No. 1 among public universities nationwide for students graduating with the least debt. The magazine ranks UB No. 8 among all public and private universities for students graduating with the least debt. Overall, UB is ranked No. 48 among public national universities and is ranked 103 among public and private national universities.

The business school ranking was culled from a list of more than 700 schools accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, positioning the school in the top 15 percent of accredited undergraduate business programs.

Based on a survey to deans and senior faculty at accredited schools, the ranking asks participants to rate the quality of all programs they are familiar with on a scale of 1 (marginal) to 5 (distinguished).

The UB School of Management is recognized for its emphasis on real-world learning, community and economic impact, and the global perspective of its faculty, students and alumni. The school also has been ranked by Bloomberg Businessweek, the Financial Times, Forbes and U.S. News & World Report for the quality of its programs and the return on investment it provides its graduates.
