American Chemical Society career advancement event coming to UB

Two-day event in Buffalo targets students and professionals with seminars on getting published, writing research proposals and preparing resumes

BUFFALO, N.Y. — From Sept. 23-24, the University at Buffalo will host ACS on Campus, an American Chemical Society outreach program that gives students, postdoctoral researchers and professionals interested in working in any chemical field the resources they need to advance their careers.

The event will take place:

Attendees will learn how to get published in top journals and how to write a research proposal that stands out. Presenters will also discuss careers outside academia, ethics in scholarly communication, resume-writing and finding a job.

The event is free, but registration is required.

The UB Department of Chemistry and University Libraries worked collaboratively with the American Chemical Society, which funded the event, to bring the program to Buffalo.
