Trivedi Receives Fulbright Award

Minakshi Trivedi

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Minakshi Trivedi, PhD, professor of marketing and chair of the doctoral program in the University at Buffalo School of Management, has received a Fulbright Scholar Award.

The Fulbright award will fund Trivedi’s academic activities in India next year. She will spend the spring 2014 semester conducting research and offering a doctoral seminar on the subject of social media in the emerging economies.

As a representative of the United States in India, Trivedi will help fulfill the principal purpose of the Fulbright Program: to increase mutual understanding between the people of the U.S. and the people of the more than 150 countries that currently participate in the program.

Trivedi has presented her research widely at several international conferences such as the annual Marketing Science conference; the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) conference; and the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS) conference.

She has been published in many leading marketing journals such as Marketing Science, Management Science, Journal of Retailing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and Journal of Business and Economic Statistics.
