Moscow Festival Ballet to Perform Cinderella at UB

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Center for the Arts at University at Buffalo will present Moscow Festival Ballet in Cinderella on Tuesday, March 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre in the Center for the Arts, North Campus. The performance is sponsored by M&T Bank.

One of Russia's most esteemed ballet companies, the Moscow Festival Ballet, presents the timeless fairy tale, Cinderella. An enchanting story of everlasting love, this classic rags-to-riches story is brimming with romance and dramatic grandeur. The beautiful costumes, vibrant scenery, comical evil stepsisters and Prokofiev's energetic score help to make Cinderella one of the most beloved ballets of all time.

The Moscow Festival Ballet was founded in 1989 by Sergei Radchenko, legendary principal dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet. As artistic director of the Moscow Festival Ballet, Radchenko aims to ensure the continuation of the rich traditions of the Russian classical school. The company brings together the highest classical elements of the great Bolshoi and Kirov Ballet companies and has performed to great acclaim worldwide.
