Center for the Arts to Offer Technical Theater Program For High School, College Students and Adults

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Center for the Arts at the University at Buffalo will present the Technical Theater Program Aug. 15-17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Center for the Arts, North Campus. Registration and fee are required.

This hands-on workshop program is for adults and college and high school students who have an interest in the technical aspects of the theatrical arts. Taught by university faculty and staff, the three-day program covers basic technical theater topics.

The program aims to introduce technical skills and knowledge in a professional environment where students can gain experience working with current lighting, sound and staging technology.

Registration is available for download on the Center for the Arts website at http://www.ubcfa.org. Registration cost is $195 per participant, and includes instruction, materials and lunches. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration. The last day to register is July 29.
